My Sin is My Business

I preached at Midway tonight. We are going through a series called Supernatural Mythbusters. It has been a great series and tonight the topic was My Sin is My Business. It definitely got uncomfortable in there tonight but I think that is good sometimes. Below are the highlights:

2 Samuel 11

Two Lies we believe:

1) My Sin is My Business
- Living this lie: you are not where you should be, you are surrounded by bad company, and you are marked by a self-centered attitude.

2) Your Sin is My Business
- Living this lie: Other people's sins are always worse than your own, you are consumed with finding fault in others

What to do if you are living these lies:

1) Get real with yourself (2 Samuel 12:13; Psalm 51)

2) Be accountable to others (Proverbs 27:17; James 5:16)

3) Then realize who you are now (Leviticus 9:23-24; Acts 13:36)
