- We finished our 30 Days To Live series talking about Leaving A Legacy. All of us for better or worse, are going to leave a legacy. What will your legacy be?
- God has really challenged and stretched me in several areas during this series.
- True success is defined by having those closest to me love and respect me the most.
- Many of us live by our preferences instead of convictions. A preference is a desire that you will compromise when the cost becomes too high. A conviction is a belief on the inside that always shows up on the outside. Are you living by preferences or convictions?
- "Deep" is not knowing Scripture. Deep is living out Scripture.
- We had boards available for people to write on after the message their one thing they need to do. It was awesome to read some of the statements and how God is challenging people to make the most of each moment in light of eternity.
- I met a couple that was invited by someone who attends Elevate. People inviting people! That is when you know people are getting it.
- We had a sound technician help with sound yesterday. He told us some things we need to get to help with the problem. The sound was definitely better yesterday with his help but we still have a way to go.
- I met a first time guest before the service. He asked what I do. I told him I am the pastor of Elevate. I loved the shock on his face when I told him. I decided a long time ago that being too young, not knowing enough, etc. would never stop me from what God has called me to do. I also really enjoy shattering the typical stereotype of a pastor. I think it is what Jesus did. He shattered the typical stereotype of religious leaders in his time on earth.
- I met another couple visiting from out of town who could not believe Elevate is only a few months old. They thought by the looks of everything that we had to be 4-5 years old. That is saying a lot about our team and volunteers that make Sundays happen each week!
- I need to wear sunscreen more often. I am burnt from playing volleyball at the beach but our team won. I'll take the sunburn for the victory. :-)
- Entry Point was awesome. I always enjoy hearing the stories of what God is doing in the lives of people through Elevate.
- We start a new series next week called Hostage. It is going to be powerful and many people will be set free!
