We kick off our Chase The Lion series this Sunday at Elevate Church. I believe this series has incredible potential for our church. It is all about surviving and thriving when opportunity roars. Our church was really challenged in the early days by the book this series is based upon. I mean really early days, as in before we even moved to San Diego. A handful of us read through the book together at our house in Georgia and it really challenged us to chase the lion of starting a church.
Chase the Lion comes from 2 Samuel 23:20:
"Benaiah chased a lion down into a pit. Then, despite the snow and slippery ground, he caught the lion and killed it."
Wow, that is unbelievable!
During this series we will be talking about facing fears, overcoming adversity, taking risks, seizing opportunities and more.
