Sunday Reflections

Here are some thoughts from Sunday:
  • We started our Chase The Lion series today at Elevate.
  • Chris preached on the topic "Defying Odds."
  • I heard that someone received Christ and other decisions were made. That is awesome!
  • We are in SC right now visiting family. I had the opportunity to preach at Oak Pointe Church in Greenville, SC. Oak Pointe is a great church! I am thankful for all the of the support Pastor Mike and their church family has given to Elevate Church.
  • It was the first Sunday I have missed at Elevate since we launched January 11th. It was very hard not being there today. Why? I love our people!
  • We spent this past week at Myrtle Beach with our family. It was a much needed time to relax. We had very limited access to internet which was a good thing. It helped me really "unplug" and I read a lot. I finished two books on our trip!
  • Susan and I attended NewSpring Church this evening. They were concluding the God Is series as a part of One Prayer. Andy Stanley of NorthPoint preached there via video.
  • Here are some thoughts from the message:
  • "Would you continue to trust God if there was no activity of God in your life?"
  • "Although life is uncertain, God is certain."
  • "God still has the whole world in His hands."
  • We finished our One Prayer series last week at Elevate. I found out that over 1,800 churches and over a million people were a part of this series. That is incredible.
  • Very excited about our next several message series at Elevate. It is going to be incredible!
  • We are about to really crank it up! The church is always called to advance NOT retreat.
  • I can not wait to be back at Elevate next week! We continue our Chase The Lion series.
