Where's Your Joy?

Where does your joy come from?

Many times we seek happiness or joy from a spouse, a successful job, new clothes, a new car, a better house, or many other things.

The problem is that these will always let you down. I probably don't need to remind you but your spouse will let you down. The new clothes are great until they are "out of style." The success of the job is great until it requires longer hours and more stress. The new car is great until it breaks down or something better comes out.

Everything and everyone short of Jesus will let you down! That is why our joy and hope must reside with Him. He is the rock of our salvation (Psalm 62:6), our strong tower (Psalm 61:3), and refuge in time of need (Psalm 18:2).

Where is your hope? Where is your joy? Focus on Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:1-2).

He will never leave your or forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). He is the only one who can bring true joy and abundant life (John 10:10)

Bring all of your struggles, frustrations, and disappointments to Him today.

He cares more than you could ever imagine and He will not let you down!
