Good Friday

It is hard to believe that Easter is almost here but without Friday we would have no Easter.

On Friday, God's wrath was poured out on His very own Son.  Jesus did nothing wrong.  It was because we had a debt that we could not pay so He paid the debt that He did not owe.

2 Corinthians 5:21 says it like this: "For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ."

As we reflect on the incredible price that Jesus paid, here are a few questions to examine our own lives:

Is what you are living for worth Christ dying for, the way He died?

Is it worth the pain, the mocking, and the beating that Jesus took?

Is what consumes your thoughts and your time worth Jesus hanging naked on a Cross?

Is it worth Jesus being beaten, bloody, and bruised?

Ultimately, is what you are living for worth the death and penalty that Jesus paid for YOU?
