Random Friday

Here are some random Friday thoughts:
  • This Sunday is week two in our Come Home series and we are talking about the older son who was lost too!  Most people think the story in Luke 15 is about the younger son but it is really directed toward the older son.
  • Who do you need to invite?  Don't give up!  Keep praying and inviting!
  • Elijah turns 6 years old today!  I can't believe he is six or that Naomi will be eight in June.
  • Susan's parents came in town today for a few days.  We always love to have people visit!
  • We had a great time in Palm Desert the first part of this week!  The kids had a blast.  All we did was hang out by the pool all day and went out to eat each night.  That's called a great vacation!
  • My elbow/arm is doing a lot better.  I finished my antibiotics yesterday.  My elbow is still a little sore but the redness and swelling have gone away.  Thanks for your prayers!
  • We start a new basketball season in a week from Tuesday.  We are going to play in the same league again.  We may be delusional but we think we will be a lot better this season.  :-)
  • I heard 24 is going off air after this season.  I may slip into depression.  Just kidding!  I'm not sure how I will get my Jack Baur fix now.  :-)
  • Butler lost a heart breaker in the National Championship.  I was really wanting them to beat Duke.  I will pull for anyone who plays Duke!
  • I just finished reading Mark Batterson's latest book called Primal.  It's about living out the greatest commandment.  It was very challenging!
  • I'm also reading through the Book of Acts right now and it is rocking my world.  God is really stretching me right now!
  • I love this post called "10 Questions That Unchurched People Are NOT Asking"
  • This was hilarious.  This Pastor posted this video and the next thing you know they are on national news.  Talk about going viral!
  • I came to Starbucks for the first time today in almost a month because of our Living Water Challenge.  They still remembered my name!  The church can learn something from Starbucks: Remember people and be glad when you see them again!
